Workplace Ergonomic Assessments & Physical Capacity Exams
Oregon Occupational Medicine offers Workplace Ergonomic Assessment and Physical Capacity Exams at both our Tualatin and Hillsboro locations. We are proud to serve the Great Portland Metro Area offering services to allow businesses to accurately assess their employee’s physical capacity as per federal and state regulations. If you are concerned about your office’s long-term safety, it may be time for a Workplace Ergonomic Assessment to prevent injury from repetitive use, poor body mechanics or poor office/appliance set-up. Physical Capacity Exams remove any doubt of physical competency before bringing new workers onto the team.
Types of Ergonomic Assessments
Workplace Ergonomic Assessments
A Workplace Ergonomic Assessment is a consultation with a Physical Therapist to assess potential issues and suggest alternatives to work station set-up, body mechanics and suggest exercises that may be helpful in promoting health, comfort and efficiency for workers. While most office settings lack dangerous equipment or machinery, long-term poor posture, faulty mechanics and poor work station set up can result in injury, unhappy workers and thus they become less productive at their job or unable to continue working at all. A Workplace Ergonomic Assessment will highlight problems that can be addressed to greatly improve the long-term health of your employees. These assessments are offered on site or on zoom.
Physical Capacity Evaluation (PCE) or Functional Capacity Evaluation (FCE)
When hiring new employees, its important to have an assessment of their physical capacity to ensure they are physically capable to perform the tasks included in their job description. A Physical Capacity Evaluation is a collection of tests that help determine the fitness of a job applicant. These tests are designed to bring peace of mind to the worker and the employer that the worker is ready to join the team.
Our team of medical professionals has performed thousands of such evaluations. You can trust us to ensure your employees are physically able to complete the demands they are applying for. Our greatest concern is making sure your workplace is safe and healthy.
Together we can make your workplace safer and healthier.
